In a new weekly series, VSA Baseball Athlete(s) of the Week our first recipients have a lot to share!

This week we would like to highlight two athletes who recently completed the Pitching Velocity Program with our Pitching Coordinator, Steph Scatassa.

Easton Bobb, a Junior at Chippewa Falls High School showed progress in this 4-week program, with his fastball going from 84-85 mph the first week to hitting a new career high in week 3 at 87 mph! Easton’s hard work and passion was awesome to see in this program and it culminated in him jumping all over our bullpens when hitting 87 for the first time! This is the goal of VSA to help athletes reach new levels. Also, special shout out to Easton as he just committed to play baseball at Division 1, University of St. Thomas! Easton had this to say about VSA,

“The coaches and trainers at VSA are amazing and immediately made me feel like a part of the family, my first time there. I’m extremely excited to train at VSA in the future and I’m glad such an amazing new facility is in the Chippewa Valley.”

Our second recipient this week is Tyson LaPoint a Senior at Rice Lake High School. Tyson made tremendous strides during this program going from sitting in the low to mid 70’s with his fastball to being up to 78 and 79 mph consistently. Tyson had this to say about the program,

“I’ve really grown to like VSA, everyone is always friendly and it feels like I’m wanted there. Steph is really committed to helping me develop and he gives me the energy to develop. The velocity program has been a big step for me in both velocity and confidence level in my pitches.”

Our next pitching program with Coach Steph starts next week, Complete Pitcher Program. Be sure to not miss out on this opportunity! More information at the following link: https://valleysports.academy/baseball-programs/
