CJ Koehler- Valley Sports Academy Director of Baseball
CJ Koehler is a Wisconsin native from Grafton, WI. CJ brings a lot of knowledge when it comes to the game of baseball as he currently serves as an Assistant coach for the UWEC Blugolds baseball team mainly working with hitters and fielding.
Prior to his job with the Blugolds CJ was an assistant coach at Finlandia University where he mainly worked with outfielders while also working with hitters and pitchers. Prior to his time with Finlandia University Koehler was the Varsity Head Coach for Port Washington High School. CJ has also worked for multiple baseball facilities running private/group lessons, camps, and clinics.
What makes you the most excited about joining VSA? “I am truly looking forward to this opportunity at VSA to grow the game of baseball in the Chippewa Valley. I believe VSA has the ability to impact student-athletes not only through the game of baseball but all the other athletic opportunities that are available. These experiences will help shape youth of various ages and will allow them to grow a skillset beyond athletics that will impact their young adulthood.
Baseball has a strong following and tradition in the Chippewa Valley and I cannot wait to see what we can do at VSA through camps, clinics, practices, and travel teams to help our athletes reach whatever pinnacle of the sport they are striving for. Not only am I excited to build a wonderful baseball staff that supports the athletes in development and getting them to the next level but I am looking forward to working with all the coaches at VSA. I believe VSA will become a place where all athletes will want to come train, compete and grow.
